Pass by the two entrances to Rockland Broad on your left before arriving at the outskirts of Brundall and your moorings for the night. See our guide for mooring locations.

Day 2 morning
Brundall to Reedham
Retrace your steps back down the River Yare, past the entrances to Rockland Broad, the Beauchamp Arms, the sugar factory at Cantley and the entrance to the River Chet where your home boatyard is located. A little further on you will see the Reedham Ferry, which crosses by dragging itself along chains which run the width of the river. If it is moving, be sure to stay well away from the chains. Around the next bend of the river you will see Reedham Quay, the location of your moorings. Be sure to approach against the flow of tide, which will give you more control when approaching the riverbank. A quay ranger will be in attendance should you require assistance when mooring.

Day 2 afternoon

Ensure you leave the mooring against the tidal flow of the river so as to avoid being swept into the boat moored next to you. The quay ranger will be able to help if you need assistance. At the far end is the junction with the River Waveney. Turn right here and cruise on for a while, passing under the rail swing bridge at Somerleyton. Eventually you will that the river forks. Take the left hand channel down Oulton Dyke, which will bring you to Oulton Broad. At the far end of the Broad are your moorings for the evening, either outside the Wherry Inn or just to it's right, Oulton Broad Yacht Station (not just for yachts).

Day 3 morning
Oulton Broad to St Olaves
Make your way back across Oulton Broad towards Oulton Dyke. Cruise on towards the junction with the River Waveney then take the right channel. St Olaves is just a little further on, marked by the road bridge which crosses the river here. Moorings are available either just before the bridge, outside the Bell Inn or beyond the bridge on your right hand side. Be sure to approach your mooring running against the tidal stream, which will assist in slowing your boat as you come alongside.
